Dapol model railways from Great Britain
Dapol is Great Britains most innovative model train producer, releasing items both for HO/OO and N gauge. In Germany Dapol is well known as the producer of our own Modellbahn Union products which are being made for us there. One of Dapol´s specialities is the release of small production quantities with very high standards, something we make good use of when releasing our many versions and running numbers of our own product line.
Dapol is also the producer of the HO-version of the track cleaning car, based on the system developed by Tomix, which allows you to choose between vacuum cleaning, grinding and polishing your track with just one car.
A field of interest in itself and almost cult in the UK are the OO gauge models of classic 2 axle freight cars modelled after british prototypes. Dapol releases several new models per month both in the standard range and as special commissions for other shops and clubs. We also already have our first freight car in this series, the Islay Ales beer van which has been made exclusively for us.
Models
Dapol models normally feature Finescale wheels, NEM coupler pockets, short coupling mechanisms and numerous factory attached details, both in HO/OO and N gauge. Motorized vehicles normally are equipped with "Super Creep" motors, DCC plug, headlight change (if prototypical), friction tires and much more. All models are fully working with all standard N gauge or HO gauge DC model railways.
All models are normally just released once, if reproduction of a model takes place changes are being made in respect to running number and/or livery.
